Presently, the Secretariat of SAFIR is housed within the premises of Central Electricity Regulatory Commission, at 8th Floor, Tower-B, World Trade Centre, Nauroji Nagar, New Delhi, India. All the activities/administrative functions shall be carried out by SAFIR Secretariat housed at CERC. Central Electricity Regulatory Commission is a statutory body functioning under Section 76 of the Electricity Act 2003 (CERC was initially constituted under the Electricity Regulatory Commissions Act, 1998 on 24th July, 1998).
